So it was Friday morning and I got up early and went to Jiffy Lube to get an oil change. They did there usual oil change and always trying to get more out of you by telling you that you will get better gas mileage if you use this synthetic fluid, blah, blah, blah... So one the things the guy told me at Jiffy Lube was that I needed to clean my battery terminals, that would of cost about 20 more dollars than I wanted to spend, so I said, "NO, but thanks." I got in my car and drove home.
I got home around 10:15am, and needed to leave at 11:30am for an appointment. So I packed up a bag full of clothes because after my appointment I was going away for the weekend. I get in my car and it doesn't start!! I called a friend who knew something about cars, and he said that it was probably my starter. Great another 400 dollars I could of saved!
I call AAA, they will be at my house in 25 minutes, so I found a place to service my car. The tow truck driver shows up and asks what's wrong, I say,"It wont start." He tells me to give it a try again, I turn the key with disgust, because I know its not going to work, but to my dismay, it starts! "What did you do!?" I said. All he did was tightened this bolt that was connected to the terminal on my battery and he said, there you go.
apparently at Jiffy Lube, those oil guzzling jerks forgot to tighten a bolt on my battery after they loosened it.
And everything was fine.
