San Jose Sharks

Well it was all over after game 3 of the series when the Sharks lost to the Oilers in 3OT. Since that game the Sharks looked really awful. After watching the Sharks lose 2-0 in Edmonton all I can say is that they looked really tired. They did not have the same energy that they did in games 1 and 2.
Sharks go 0-8 on the power play in game 6, and prolonged their losing streak in the Rexall Center.
The only bright spot for the Sharks was the goal tender, Vesa Toskala who stopped 24 of 26 shots to make the game interesting. There were times when and average goalie would of given up a few more goals in this game, but not Toskala.
The Sharks were so tired that even there home play by play announcer Drew Remenda sounded like he knew the Sharks were going to lose.
The Sharks played a great year and should look forward to next season, when they will be even better. I suspect the sharks trading Nabakov for a good veteran defensemen in the offseason.

Just My Luck

So its May 15th and today was the first time I have had any type of soda or fast food other than In and Out and Chick Fil-A, since December 15th.(5 months) I had taco bell on the way home from San Jose and I couldn't wait to open the wrappers and drink the Pepsi that I got. After the first bite, it was marvelous, but the second was about half as good, and the third about half as good as the second and so forth. I ended up not feeling too well after eating my favorite fast food of all time. Maybe it was the Pepsi, maybe it was the 7-layer Burrito...

last time I stopped eating fast food and drinking soda, things were starting to look up for me. Life is all about turning over new leafs and trying to change bad habits. Life is about working through struggles and trials that are put in your path. There is always going to be something that you have to deal with and work on.
As of May 15th, 2006, I plan to not eat anymore fast food except In and Out until December 15th.

I am not a superstitious kinda of guy, but I just went out and saw that new Lindsay Lohen movie, Life has to get better, now.

Welcome Back

So I went to San Jose for the weekend, I am almost ready to move up there. In about 2 weeks I will be moved. Friday night, I left my car in the South Valley Christian Church parking lot. I got a call from my friend Will, saying that my car was broken into. Just another mess to add to my already full plate of distractions.
They ended up stealing my ipod and breaking my passenger side car window, a total of around $550 of damage and stolen goods.
I got the Ipod for free, so it didn't mean too much to me, but breaking the window, at a church.... Trust No One

Dennys?

I recently just turned 25, and I have 8 really good friends that live in Southern California. For my birthday they sent me a check for $150. They gave me money instead of a gift, so that I could buy a plane ticket and visit them. So I flew in early Friday morning and was picked up by my friend Kellie. We then went to a restaurant called Flappy Jacks and a great breakfast with my other friends Melissa and Julie. Julie also brought her 2 week old baby, Joshua.
This was great for 2 reasons, it was the first time that I actually saw baby Joshua, and I wasn't even sure I was going to see Melissa the whole time I was there. After breakfast/lunch, I went over to Christine's house, where I was going to stay, and dropped off my stuff and said hello. Christine was going to work soon, so Julie, the baby and I went to her house.
I literally sat on the couch across from Julie and the baby for about 2 hours, just mezmorized by the baby's actions. I don't know what it was about the baby, but I couldn't take my eyes off of him. So baby Joshua's father, Joshua came home from work and was really good to see him. We ended up hanging out watching TV until we decided to go the Drive-Ins.
In the mean time we met up with my other friend Shaheen, picked him up and went to the Drive-ins. If you have ever been to Socal, you know will know what I am talking about when I say the "909," this is where the drive-ins are, and it was kinda ghetto, but not really. I didn't think I was going to get shot, just stabbed...
I sat outside in between Joshua and Shaheen, and Julie and the baby were in the car trying to stay warm. I dipped down into the 50s that evening and I did not have a jacket. So what I did in order to stay warm, was go Brokeback with my friend Shaheen and we shared a sleeping bag(don't repeat that!). We saw Mission Impossible 3 and loved every minute of it. I forgot to mention we went and brought food to the show, we stopped at La Tolteca. This is one of the best Mexican restaurants in Socal, its on Azusa Ave. in Azusa. I highly recommend it, it is so choice.
After the movie was over I got dropped off back at Christine's house, and waited for her to come home. She got home around 1130, and we decided to go in the Hot tub with her cousin Sandra. We must of sat there for 2 hours, had a few drinks and a few laughs, Great time.
The next day I woke up around 9:30am, after going to bed at 2:30am. For some reason the night before we got this crazy idea to go to Denny's at 8:30am, I was skeptical that it would happen, it was Sandra's idea, but I agreed even though I knew it wouldn't happen, it didn't so I texted Christine, who was sleeping in her parents camper that night with her cousin "Dennis." No response, they are still sleeping... 15 minutes later I hear some noise in the house and Christine says, "you still want to go?" So we did, but Sandra couldn't go because she had homework to do before work. Went to Dennis and I ordered what I always get when I go to Dennis... Moons over My Hammy! You cant beat that, it tastes good and its fun to say. After breakfast, I went home, changed and was picked up by Joshua around 1145am. We decided to go to Frank and Sons. This is a indoor flee market, that specializes in baseball cards, collectibles, comic books, Sports stuff, you name it! It was free to get in, so we went. It took us a while to find the place, but we got there. I walked up and down the aisles, I was looking at sports stuff mostly, Joshua was looking at knives and guns mainly, go figure. So we did this for over and hour, and by the end, we realized that this was not a happy place, it was a sad place, where people waste money on things that they are going to put on their shelves, there were old men who were playing a card game called, "Magic the Gathering," it just made me sad. Joshua said, "Thank God I played sports growing up." So we walked out and went back to the car and we went back to Joshua and Julie's place. When we got there Julie had some visitors, her father and a couple who hadn't seen the baby. I checked my email and was just listening to conversation until they departed. After hey left, Joshua and I played some Xbox, while Julie took a nap with the baby.
We a grueling game of Nascar Thunder 2003, it was intense!
We had made plans to go out to dinner at 7pm with Christine and Jasen to a place called, "A little Taste of Texas." Joshua dropped me off at Christine's house so I could get ready for dinner. When I got there Jasen and Christine were watching the Laker Game, it was game 7 of the first round of the play offs and the Lakers were getting killed. We left just before 7, so we could find this restaurant, right when we pulled up Joshua, Julie and the baby pulled up.
As we were getting out of the car, Jasen noticed he had a flat tire, so being Johnny on the Spot, he fixed it right then and there. I was trying to make references to "A Christmas Story" but no one go it.
We went in to A little Taste of Texas, and it was this huge building, about 60 yards or so long and 30 yards wide, it was big and wide open. It was covered with picnic tables, and had paper towel dispenser on the tables, in case you ordered ribs. It was really good food, I had a combo meal, One enchiladas, One Tamale, and One Taco , and beans and rice, and flour tortillas that were complementary. Food was great, I finished it all, and then Christine, Jasen and I went back to the house to change again... I know it sounds weird but we changed so we could Dancing, not just any dancing but Country Dancing. I put my boots on tight blue pants and was ready to go.
We got to "Montana's" the dancing place at 9:45pm, paid $5 to get in and had a great time. I hadn't been there for 9 month's or so, it brought back good memories. When we got there I saw some friends I knew, Paul and Jon, and another guy named Tim, who we hung out with most of the night.
I was a tad bit nervous because it had been so long since I either line-danced or coupled danced. So I didn't know how it was going to go. Around 10:45pm, Sandra and her friend Sara showed up, who I had met and hung out with before, and we had a Great Time! We had a few drinks, we had a few laughs. Christine and I went out to do the Cowboy Cha-Cha, which is my favorite dance, and everything came back. It was like I never left the dance floor. We did some line dancing too, and that came back as well, I sometimes pride myself on my dancing skills, its lame I know.
We stayed until 1:30am, laughing and dancing. It was the best.
Woke up around 9:45am Sunday morning, got dressed, watched sportscenter, and waited to be picked up for church, by Joshua and Julie, we got to church, this was a church that I formerly worked at and attended for 2 and a half years.
I saw so many people that I hadn't seen in a long time, it brought back good memories and made me feel good inside. After the service, they had pizza for everyone. Joshua and Julie left to go to a funeral, so I stayed a hung out with my friend Craig. We left the church around 1:15pm, to go to his house to watch the end of the Ducks game. Kellie came over around 2pm, and watched it with us, the Ducks Won and Craig took me back to J & J' s house. They were still at the funeral so I just chilled for about 3 hours, playing Xbox, going online. Its now 6:30pm and J & J picked me up, but I had to get on a flight to go home at 9:20pm. So we had enough time to go to dinner at another one of my favorites, "The Hat," it has the world's best Pastrami, it was Delectable! It was great because Melissa and Shaheen met up with us and I was able to see them for about 20 minutes before we left. I saw Melissa for a total of about 1 hour the whole weekend. So we got in the car, went to Ontario, and got on a plane, and went home.
I was picked up by Jon and Aletheia, and they drove me home. It was a Great Weekend, and loved every minute of it!

Forgiveness

I have recently been stricken with an incredible task. Trying to understand the fact that being forgiven by someone, doesn't necessarily mean you are friends with that person. It has been from my experience that Forgiveness and Friendship come hand in hand. For the first time I must realize that being forgiven is all that I need. I am not the type of person who likes to have enemies, but I think in this case I have no choice. I must learn and understand, what being forgiven means in this situation, to me it should mean, that if this person has forgiven me, then they wont be my enemy. Maybe in time, they wont be my enemies but neutral.

Long Time Listener, First Time Caller

This morning I was driving back from San Jose to Rocklin. I listened to KNBR 680 Sports radio the whole way up. I caught most of the Gary Radinoch show, in which many different topics arose. One topic that peeked my interest the most was the topic of MVP in the NBA this year. Steve Nash won, although I thought it was undeserved. I would of voted for Kobe Bryant or Lebron James. So I decided to call up KNBR, never having done this before, was very nervous. I woman answered and said, "what's your name?"... "Where you from?"... "What do you want to talk about?"... I told them that I wanted to talk about why Nash should not be MVP.
15-20 minutes go by and I hear over the phone(where I could the radio broadcast) "Tim from San Jose, your on the air"
I was so nervous that I think I was talking really loud, so they couldn't hear the cracking in my voice, but I got my point across. Although Gary didn't agree with 100%, he couldn't argue with me.
In conclusion, it was fun bring on the radio.
KNBR is the best sports radio station ever!
